Race & Share

Race & Share is a racing game focused around building tracks and sharing with your friends, competing to get the fastest lap time. The project is split into two sections, the track creating part which deals with building tracks and saving them, and the racing side which deals with generating envioments for players to play in once the tracks are loaded.

Track Editor

The track editor allows users to build their own tracks the way they want them. The track is generated by placing nodes which the user can delete, rotate and move around to create the shape and feel of the track that they want.

The track editor limits where a node can be placed to minimize overlapping track sections to help create better tracks to race on.

Racing

Players can pick from 9 in-built maps, or an unlimited amount of custom maps to race on. Each track gets terrain generated for it surrounding the track, and is a 3 lap race. Driving feels simple and easy to use, with more skilled plays revolving around drifting which gives you a speed boost depending upon how far turn while drifting.
